Privacy Policy

Scope

This is a privacy policy for the Sentry®, the web portal of Asentral, Inc. Institutional Review Board (AIRB). The Sentry® web portal falls under the responsibility of AIRB. The portal is concerned with the dissemination, collection, and exchange of information about clinical research studies between AIRB and its client users. It is not concerned with commercial transactions or with the exchange of data for marketing purposes.

Information Collection and Use

All information collected by the Sentry® portal site from the users belongs exclusively to AIRB. It will only be used for customizing the services. The AIRB is the sole owner of the personal data collected from this site and will not sell, share, rent or pass the data in other ways to third parties. The personal data will only be stored as long as it is necessary for provision of the service.

Registration

In order to establish an account for the Sentry® web site, users need to complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to provide your name, title, and an e-mail address. In case the Sentry® portal administrator needs to contact the user the e-mail address is used (e.g. in case a password is lost). We will not give the e-mail address away to any third parties or expose it anywhere.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file written to a user's hard drive that contains a User ID. The cookies do not contain any personal information about users. The use of cookies is now widespread. The reason we use cookies is to save our users time on the site. If a user sets up his browser to reject the cookie, he or she may still use the site although functionality might be impaired.

Advertising

The Sentry® web portal does not work with a third party that serves ads to this site.

Log Files

We use traffic data to analyze trends in site use and to administer the site. This includes time and date of Sentry® web portal access. We do not collect IP addresses on the web server and do not track user's movement.

Security

This website and the Sentry® protect our user information in all conscience. When users submit sensitive information via the Sentry®, your information is protected by the best technologies and practices known to us from loss, misuse, or theft, but we cannot guarantee the security of this information. Further, AIRB cannot guarantee that third parties may not obtain this information illegally, or use this information in a malicious manner, and AIRB shall be held harmless in the event of such a breach.

Correcting/Updating Personal Information

The user has the right at any time to request information about the stored personal data. He has the unrestricted right of deletion, updating and correction of the stored personal data. This can be done by sending an e-mail to Sentry® at info@asentralirb.com.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
